Fall Gaming Game Plan
« on: September 26, 2010, 01:23:56 AM »
As I was going through all the releases for this fall. I was wonder what is everyone getting. And better yet what is your gameplan on getting your fall releases the cheapest. With Kmart, Amazon, Bestbuy all stepping up with giftcards and awesome deals. Where are you planning on purchasing a majority of your games?

My gameplan:
9/28 Dead Rising 2: Kmart $20 gaming coupon
10/5 Castlevania LoS: Kmart $20 gaming coupon (using my previous one from DR2)
10/5 Enslaved Journey to the West: Kmart $25 gaming coupon (might be able to repurchase with first copies gaming coupon since deal will last two weeks, then return first copy)
10/12 Medal of Honor: Kmart $25 gaming coupon (using previous coupon from Enslaved)
10/19 Fallout New Vegas Collectors Edition: Amazon $20 gaming credit
10/19 Fallout New Vegas: Kmart No Deal yet posted (using my $15 gaming credit from the coaster set as well as the $25 dollar coupon from MoH)
10/26 Fable 3 CE: Kmart No Deal yet posted (using coupon from New Vegas as well as another $15 gaming coupon from coster set which is good till 10/30)
10/26 Fable 3: Amazon $20 gaming credit
11/2 Gran Turismo 5 CE: Amazon (using $20 credit from Fable 3)
11/9 Call of Duty Black Ops Hardened Edition: Amazon $20 gaming Credit
11/9 Call of duty Black Ops: Amazon $20 gaming credit
11/16 Assassins Creed Brotherhood Collectors Edition: Gamestop special Harlequin Edition

Thats my list, hate buying two copies of most games but both the misses and I play online with each other.

Whats your list?

do you enjoy gaming at all anymore? I'd rent some of the games but the misses likes owning them. Story games especially are of no use to me personally.

10/12 - Sengoku Basara Heroes PS3
10/19 - Vanquish + Fallout New Vegas
11/2 - YS Oath PSP

That's all I'm sure of for now.

Actually, if the 3DS is this year, the list would be much larger.

I forgot about Epic Mickey.  That I will probably buy.

I don't have time to play much of anything because of school + bar exam this semester, but I find buying games and not playing them to be my personal stress reliever (had a headache busy/shitty day, so bought Darksiders PC), so I'm gonna pick up and try to play all these, but in reality I'll probably get through about 1/5th of them.

This week:
-Atelier Rorona
-Lara Croft diablo
-Dead Rising 2
-Zero no Kiseki

Next week:
-Castlevania
-Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded

Oct 17th week:
-Vanquish
-Fallout NV

week after that:
-Naruto 2
-Solatorobo

week after that:
-Radiant Historia
-God of War: Ghost of Sparta

week after that:
-Tactics Ogre PSP

week after that:
-not saying

week after that:
-Arms Heart (new budget rpg by the guy who did Shadow Hearts 1/2)
-Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu X360
-Sly Cooper collection

December:
-Tales of Graces F
-Gundam Musou 3
-The 3rd Birthday
-Catherine
-Last Story if it actually makes 2010

Haven't really looked at the release schedules, but I'm planning on buying Dead Rising 2 and Vanquish.  Not sure about Castlevania.  Interested in Fallout NV but still haven't played through Fallout 3 GOTY Edition.  Already have Sengoku Basara 3 and Hokuto Musou.  Would have double-dipped on Samurai Warriors 3 for Wii but the American version's online play is limited only to the Muramasa Castle mode...in other words, nobody is going to give a shit.

Got plenty of shit to play as it is and most of my time is spent with fighting games and Halo Reach MP anyway.

Whatever releases Gamefly will send to me.

Won't buy anything.  3DS sounds interesting but I want to wait a few months to see if the hype is worth a purchase.  Maybe wait and see what Prole thinks of it first, as I usually agree with his gaming choices.

Yeah.  I have a few others like Eternal Mana 1&2 and one or two of the old alchemy ones but never got around to playing them.  Dunno if I'll make it through this one either, but the reviews have been good and apparently the game is short (sub 20 hours with replayability), so maybe I'll get through it.
