Jesus christ, watched the gameplay vid that everyone on gaf is cumming about.

IT'S FUCKING GOD OF WAR. Like 100%, aside from the music and setting. That's not entirely a bad thing-- it might be solid enough for a $20 purchase.

the fact that gaf is drooling over this is enough reason for me to pass on it. I love how they bash IGA's installations and then praise a mindless GOW clone made by a shit dev.

lol at the part where it says puzzles and he brings out a zelda sunbeam puzzle. yay old puzzles with beams and blockpushing.

It really doesn't look like God of War in that video, combat aside. And even then, the combat similarities are small.

--Magic moves that use up a meter
--Same shitty invincible frames on enemies with no AI
--QTE shit on "epic" bosses
--Swinging, ballet type moves like Kratos
--Same puzzling/platforming with swinging, balancing, shit like that
--He used wings for a double jump for christ's sake

Face it, Konami said "take GOW and make it a Castlevania game"

I'd like to know the ways in which this won't play out like a GoW game.

I was considering it. I was holding off on ordering from Amazon since they had $20 credit for it, but I was waiting to try the demo. Now that reviews are coming out Amazon dropped that deal and the only way to play the demo is still to be a European Playstation Plus member. Will probably pass on it.

I need to find a good Kmart near here first. I went to one for the ps move bundle ($25 credit back) and it was awful. The video game section was like a third world country. There was broken glass all over the place and screaming children (who might have been on fire) running between aisles.

Demo is out on Euro PSN for everyone

It is alright. Combat is God of War with a bad camera. It seems like they are using a lot of blurring and effects to cover up the bad frame rate and it is still noticeable both visually and how the game feels. Apparently the PS3 version is the better one too $:-\$ Maybe just an old demo.

The demo doesn't give you enough time to find out. The first bit is a tutorial and they lock most of your moves. The only time when you can test out the full combat is in a 30 second fight at the end of the demo after a boring magical horse sequence.

But I'd still say better, probably. Even on hard enemies would go down quick and I liked that. God of War, and it was worse in the Dante Inferno Demo, is sometimes you just constantly doing power moves that didn't seem to do that much.

I liked the demo. Very pretty/shiny, plays like faster GoW which is good. The menu/book with illustrations is very cool. I laughed when the magic horse jumped out of a magic portal and told you to get on him.

The game is pretty good. I like that you can replay each chapter to 100% it.
The only things I don't like are the overdramatic voice acting and music. So epic.
