Checked into the hotel with my friend Mik. It's his first con, so this should be fun.

The hotel does not provide free Internet. I am pissed.

Talked to a friend about when to costume (yes, I have costumes for this). I will be wearing Doctor Horrible Saturday, and maybe either the doc or Engineer from TF2 on Sunday, or if I feel like it, tomorrow.

Gonna try to bang the cute ones that don't reek. Wish me luck.

Today was the slow first day. Still fun. I'm sitting here while a steampunk band is playing, and they're a lot of fun. The Extraordinary Contraptions, if you're into that kind of thing.

Had a lot of love for the Doctor Horrible costume. Tomorrow is the big costume day, I'm excited. Also, turns out a few members of the 501st is here. They're pretty awesome.

Game room reeks. And I am stupidly out of shape. I can't play DDR anymore, but neither can anyone else. It's hilarious to watch.

I know people who still go to anime cons. Don't see how they do it. Last one I went to was akon 2004. Jesus Christ, at that point I was about to get all anime'd out.

Game rooms were the shit though. We'd play Guilty Gear like all day. One time there was this dude who had a streak going over 30 something matches of Guilty Gear XX. Good times.

Im not a huge anime fan, but I enjoy costuming, and going to cons. It's definitely a different kind of people. Also, a friend that moved in 05 was here, and I wanted to see her.

Besides, why miss a chance to go somewhere new?
