So I get this question from this dude after I listed my auction this afternoon:
Q: Is this a refurbished item? You say you won't accept returns, what happens if the item is defective??
I explain that it's my own personal item, it isn't a refurb, and that it wouldn't be defective (I really need to change my username to something that doesn't sound like a business or store name - it's just a leftover from that T-shirt bullshit I wasted my time on a few years ago, but it makes everyone think I'm a reseller).
So he buys it but leaves me this note:
I am going to trust you and hope everything goes well because you don't accept RETURNS.
Emphasis his. I get the feeling this guy is just fishing for an excuse to try it out and send it back on my dime. According to ebay rules there really is no such thing as a no return policy, and they'll snatch the money right out of your paypal account and refund someone if they complain (this recently happened to a friend of mine, who's now out $35 as well as the stuff he sent). So I'm wondering if I should even bother, whether I should just refund the guy, relist, and take any feedback knocks he gives. What do you all think?
