Comes out next week, anyone jumping on the sequel to the best Star Wars game this console generation?

PC version is also out at launch. PSP version canned.

I've always wondered what the biggest non-mmo flop in games was. This has certainly got to be close.

It provides some more context for the sheer scope of the marketing blitz, even by Star Wars standards. The too-expensive hardcover art book, the comic/novel/D20/card game tie-ins, the insanely fawning Vanity Fair article.

Grabbed the Sith version of the first one on Steam, haven't installed it though (20 gigs the fuck?)

I heard the Sith editions for the consoles were really limited, CAGers found some at Toys R Us and were talking about how they go for like $80 on ebay. 360 seems harder to find than PS3.

Force Unleashed was a damn solid rental. Wish lucasarts would stop being so stubborn and release a new iteration of one of their better Star Wars ip's though. Battlefront, Dark Forces/Jedi Knight, Rogue Squadron, KOTOR, Star Wars: Tie Fighter/Xwing style game, etc.

Do they even have the people to make those kinds of games any more?

RavenSoft doesn't look to be that interested in going back to making a Jedi Knight game any time soon, the Factor 5 we knew is dead, BioWare is busy with a MMO and we can't even get a straight answer of who is going to be working on Battlefront III, ever since Free Radical shut down. And I doubt sincerely that there's any market for a PC-style flight simulator amongst the base that makes up today's Star Wars fans, now.

It really doesn't look like the future is going to be that bright for those who loved the other Star Wars games.

only because of the star wars games that will never be produced now... never cared for any of their other games, looking at both of their track records over the last few years it's really understandable why they closed down.

One of their last good games was Jedi Academy in 2003. They should definitely revisit the series, by the sounds of it Singularity has some merits but needed longer to cook. It's pretty crazy that in this gen of the fps they aren't interested in making a new Jedi Knight game.

Game Informer gave the first TFU 7.75/10, so I'm not sure where this massive disappointment is coming from, especially with LucasArts firing every people every 5 minutes.

If you have a TFU save on your system it'll unlock the endgame costumes in TFU2. If you beat it with both endings you'll have the Sith and Jedi costumes to use in TFU2.

A friend in the US told me that Target is 3-for-2 this weekend as well. But That still makes it a USD40 game. :shrug

The story is what really worked for me in the original. It was just fantastic, and I was mainly playing to get to see how it resolved. This sequel will be on my bargain bin watchlist.

The story in this game is missing, and you can tell that there was going to be a Malastare level geting to the Salvation based on some dialogue between Starkiller and Kota. I wonder if it will show up as DLC?

The story was the best part of the first one, I'm just going to pass on this entirely and sing "la la la" and pretend that it doesn't exist. Like the Prequel movies.
