Man, the Hell boss level is just plain awful. Why did they suddenly decide that it was cool to throw in a genuinely cheap level? There's no skill here, it's just memorizing the boss's moves until you can finally predict when and where he's going to hit with his fists/head. Worst level by far.

any controller can be used but to remap or getting it to work properly requires this: http://code.google.com/p/x360ce/ (thingie that lets you trick it into believing your saturn/other controller is a 360 pad)

the game, afaik, doesn't use xinput, but it does map buttons (1, 2, etc.) as they correspond to the 360 controller. it is a bit funky that they don't allow you to remap things within the game but it is what it is.

personally I use my wii classic controller pro. I needed to remap all the buttons so they turn clockwise once since it literally mapped letters to numbers. The 360 pad is A/S, B/W, X/E, Y/N and nintendo controllers since the saturn is the same turned counter-clockwise. That problem most likely didn't present itself with the saturn pad since Microsoft basically adopted their button letter layout from Sega. AB instead of BA and all that.

It's a lame tactic and completely out of character for the game. I want to live and die on the timing and distance of my jumps, not one whether I can remember a boss's endless repeated move set.

All of the other bosses and creatures are fine, they still require you to use jumping skills. Hell boss is just an endlessly repeated move set, which doesn't belong at all.

Yeah PC version running on Win 7 64. XAB are mapped to ABC on the saturn pad respectively. Right trigger on the saturn pad is run. The other buttons do other stuff but I can't be sure. I have too much spittle on my monitor from frothing at the mouth in rage to care.

I finally bought this last night while I was loopy on Ambien. I love how fast the learning curve is; it's really like you go from FUUUUU to MEET ME SOMEWHERE in 15 minutes tops.

Just started playing this, I've been just trying to get through the main game for now, then go back to the Dark World/Warp Zone/Glitch levels. Any guides as to what levels contain warp zones and bandages?

Also for the "beat a whole chapter without dying", do you need to beat the boss as well? How does it work, you just start on level 1 of the chapter and advance by pressing "A" when you beat the level? I made it to level 20 of chapter 1 then I died

Hehe what the hell. Can hear a warp zone on the level "thistle" on dark Hell, no idea where it is. It's a single screen level too. Some of these were pretty annoying to A+ as well

Started playing this again after putting it down for ages. Oh man, I just played this for 4 hours straight. Managed to blow through worlds 5 and 6 and beat the final light world boss at long last.

Now the real challenge begins.... I'm working on 100%ing the game now. World 1 at 100%, onto World 2!

Great game but I would be lying if I said it didn't frustrate the shit out of me. I've got really sore hands now and I must have said "FUCK" at least 100 times tonight.

Fired up Deadly Premonition now to "cool off"

Fuuuuu, finally got 100% in this... But not really, I actually still have 3 Cotton Alley dark world stages to complete, but the cheev popped... Yay!

A+ in nearly every stage except 1 from hell and a couple others, but most worlds levels all A+... Such an amazing platformer, in fact best platformer I've ever played
