They don't sell the eBook I want OUTSIDE OF ENGLAND. WHich makes no fucking sense, but whatever. Anyway, it seems like there's no good Ebook Torrent sites. They're all just filled with tons of shit and I can't figure it out. Is there like an OINK for books?

btw, amazon.com allows you to enter a different country address if you need a book from outside your region. They even have a handy prompt, along the lines of 'Moved recently? Change your address here!"

So according to them, I live on Park Ave, NYC, but they ship all my shit to Tokyo. Everyone is happy with that arrangement :D

Now, that doesn't mean it's perfect, as I would like to buy books from the UK as well. The problem is that the Kindle is linked to one account, so I can't just switch to my amazon.co.uk account. But so far, I've been able to get everything I want as long as it's on Kindle somewhere.

Yeah, there is a really good book site - Bibliotik (25k torrents right now).
What's the one you're after?

Edit: whoa, there's a new Iain M. Banks novel out?

early release will make you jump jump

Not to reawaken the oldest debate on the internet but books are such absurd value for the entertainment dollar for me that I see no reason not to pay for them. I mean, $10 for days of reading? The amazon service is superb as well. So there's one obscure thing you want that isn't on amazon, big deal. Go read one of the hundreds of thousands of books that ARE on there.

The point is that I want THIS book and despite the fact that it's a digital file, it's not available outside th UK. That's goofy. I WANT to pay for it.

Also, 16$+ eBooks are fucking ridiculous.

I already told you how to change your address on amazon. I'm not judging anyone, god knows I'm a filthy pirate. Just saying that books are something I will probably never pirate.

But I have to change my Kindle region which may wreak havoc in a few ways, no?

$16?  They're usually 10 bucks.

And games used to be 40 bucks. The new Franzen was 17$ and the new Steven Johnson is the same.

All you're changing is the address to which your amazon account is linked, not your credit card or your Kindle region (there is no such thing that I'm aware of) or even the address to which you have stuff shipped to. And you can seemingly change the address as often as you like.
