Enjoying running
« on: October 24, 2010, 11:20:24 AM »
During a work week, I sometimes have to force myself really hard to run, especially on the days where I have a teammeeting for the entire day (happens every two weeks). But man, during weekends it happens a lot (especially on sundays) where I actually enjoy running, I really get a kick out of it and try to run really hard. It feels so fucking good. Then you can also have those rare occasions where an incredible song starts playing (echoes by pink floyd, no air by chris brown, while not on the same level they are incredible songs for running for different reasons) and, combine with 'nice scenery', it's like a spiritual experience.

Anyone else has the same experience?

I love running, I try to go out at least 4-5 times a week. I'm contemplating doing a full marathon next June.

No, tieno, keep making threads. Make so many threads the only thread author on the first page of the Hot Dog Bar is YOU. DO IT.

I hate running so fucking much. Once in a while I start to force myself to do it, but such periods never last long.

Last year I did half a marathon a few times. It's not to be taken lightly. It takes a very heavy toll on your body. It's more about your bones and muscles able to take it.

Yep, I did a half marathon in June, I loved it. I average about 30 miles a week right now, I'll keep stepping it up to see how I manage a full 26 mile run at once.

I only hate running when I'm not doing it. Once I get in the habit and start running regularly I love it.
