Oh didn't realize that was a G.rev game.  Didn't they make a shmup after Senko 2?  I haven't played any of their shmups besides Senko which I didn't care for.

They made Mamoru-kun before Senko DUO. Mamoru wasn't received too well as I recall, but they still made Border Down and Under Defeat so I'll keep an eye on them.

I loved what I've played of Mamoru-kun. It's a fairly easy game but it's very reminiscent of Pocky and Rocky. Wish it was region free, or got a domestic release.

Looks like it's PS3 exclusive this time around. Hopefully only having to deal with one system will ensure that the graphics are bet- oh who am I kidding, it's gonna be an uprezed PS2 game. Still excited about it, though.

More or less the same as it has been since the PS2, except now it is rocking PS2 quality graphics instead of PS1.  It's better than WOTS2 and it's a toss up between 1 and 3.

Yeaaah, in the last few months they gave ACE:R a 33/40 and the game was like 3/10 shit game & KH Re:coded a 34/40 and it was pretty bad.  Famitsu reviews in 2010 have been a lot worse than years prior.  Before they were ok with occasional moneyhats and misses, but in 2010 almost every review is off the mark.

i like persona 2 but i'm not particulary excited for this... i guess it's lame from their part to only make a port of part 1 instead of mashing part 1 and part 2 in a single dvd but i guess they realized that if people are willing to pay for the same game thrice they certainly don't have a problem with that

anyway i thought more people would be excited for that venus & braves psp port
maybe they already know it's never going to reach the US

The little info of wots4 sounds good.  It seems like age factors into creating a character now or something like that.  It is set around a harbor with conflict between shogunate, foreigners, and anti-foreigners.  If I'm understanding it correctly, after certain events, they now show you a flow chart that helps guide you on a different path in the next run.  It sounds like it's because they're adding more choices for those events and it is to help the player out.

Famitsuu has always had a hardon for yoge (western games) though...

And besides, Fallout and Fable are fun series. Radiant Historia I am honestly surprised at the review scores being as high as they are, game looked a bit naff.

I didn't realize WoTS3 (and probably 4) used Bethesda awful Gamebryo engine.

It kind of makes sense though because the closest comparison to WoTS1/2 in western gaming is probably Oblivion.  It's a totally open sandbox action rpg with tons of events and quests lines that can be done in any non-linear order and lead to joining and opposing different factions and many endings.

I bet that's what they were thinking when they were looking at which Western engine to license.  That and the fact Gamebryo is probably dirt cheap since it sucks.

Good, I wish WotS3 had a flowchart that showed me what dialog would lead to what ending. I have to keep GameFAQs open in a picture in picture window the entire time if I want all the damn endings.

Also I hope they improve the side quests, they suck.

Yeah, any shmup at XBLA price is an automatic purchase.  It doesn't even have to be an amazing shmup, I pay $75 import for those.  So at $15 it just needs to be alright.

When stuff like Guwange, this, Bangai-o hit XBLA I'll rebuy a X360 to get my shooterbox on again.
