anybody know about gemstone globes? No homo

So I feel kinda gay about all this, but I fell in love with gemstone globes when we went to a market in San Antonio this weekend and now I have to have one but i'd like someone to maybe educate me on them.  there's info on the internet but not a ton (that I can see at least). so maybe I'm calling them by the wrong name or there's a better/proper name.  Anways, if you don't know what one is, behold the awesomeness...




But you can't really capture how they look until you're up close to one and you can see the detail put into it.  Amazing stuff, man.

Just do a google image search for "globe liquor" and you'll get a bunch of hits. this one is only $130, so not a bad price at all

I remember poisoning a target's liquor stash in one of those in the last Hitman game, so awesome.

It's probably not an issue, but just keep in mind that you can't flip it upside down to look at the southern hemisphere with one of those hollow bar globes.

that's if you get the 13 inch ones (which I will be), but there are 3 inch, 6 inc and 9 inch I believe too.  you can get a 6 inch for like 200
