Why do they have to offer GT5 with the $20 card?

The greatest driving simulator deserves to be experienced by all lifeforms.

Including Xbots.

If I wanted a classic experience I'd put Gran Turismo 3 or 4 into my PS3 and...oh wait.

Your Ps3 doesn't play Ps2 games?

So what's the verdict? Three days in — and with many more days left to go — I have to say that while Gran Turismo 5's driving dynamics are better than any other racing game on the market, Forza Motorsport 3's nipping closely at its heels*. And given some of the latter's better (and more clearly labeled) vehicular upgrade options, smoother interaction with AI vehicles, and GT5's installation "challenges" (like a 133 MB required update to make multiplayer mode somewhat usable), Forza Motorsport 3 provides a much more compelling option for a car enthusiast looking to jump into a realistic and entertaining video racing game.

This game is very good so far. I could't play much Forza 3 because I got bored by it really fast.
In this game I can race with karts, race during nigh or day. During rain and snow. There's also rally and Nascar.
Forza 3 is really a low budget game compared to this.
People just expected too much of GT5. And in my opinion, it delivered. It's better than I expected actually.

And why is there no snow kick up in the rear view mirror?

That's coming in the Advanced Weather Effects DLC.

I only did one snow track but there was really ghetto looking snow flying out of the back of my car according the rear view mirror.

Absolutely agreed. I said it before: Gran Turismo 5 is Heinz, Forza is Hunt's.

The former is perfection, a sensation in the mouth. The latter is failsauce.

Just tried to play Forza 3 for a comparison. It's still a good custom paint job simulator. But everything feels so dated after GT5. I really can't go back to that again.

I'm enjoying the game so far, but I dont know.. I was kind of expecting more features. It would had been nice to be able to really tweak the cars (the upgrades are meh), rice them up. It just feels..very basic. I did the 3 first tournaments and now i gotta buy some gimmick cars to continue playing.. I dont really want or care to buy some <70 jpn car to do a gimmick tournament..

The AI is also terrible, i lost control of my car, got t-boned by another one, and instead of stopping..the AI car just continued to drive as if there was nothing. I wish I had saved this or something. The car pushed me that way for a lonnng time before i managed to get unstuck

The enabling damage off the bat patch is coming Dec 1st and includes better graphical performance (lol)

I BUY GT5 TO RACE NOT TO PAINT MY CAR

OH GOD LOOK AT THIS AMAZING GAME IN PHOTO MODE!!!

That's what's been going through my mind too.  I don't know how many times I've read people going on and on about Forza's livery saying that they buy these games to race not to spend hours painting Cowboy Bebop on their hood and yet it's those same idiots that can't seem to get the hell out of photomode in GT. Sometimes I wonder if they're just trying to be stupid to start shit up or if they've really gone over the fucking deep end.

And while I could give two shits about either Forza, GT, or any other sim racer for that matter (although I spent a hell of a long time with GT1-3....never really played much of the Forza games), if I had to look at a bunch of photomode pics I'd rather look at some crazy paint job that someone did rather than just another standard after effect laden pic, but maybe that's just me.

I think it a little bit of Column A and a little bit of Column B.

This is the last "bobobo wait for..." game.  The last game that is supposed to make the evil M$ empire crumble before the might of Sony.  The fact that it didn't deliver is causing some to have mental breakdowns, as we can all see.  On the other hand, there is a big effort to countertroll since it is obvious that GT5 is a game that needed a few more months before release.  Like GT PSP, I have to wonder what the hell was taking Polyphony Digital so long.  Most of that time clearly wasn't going to the game unless they were continually scrapping and redesigning.
