I'm a big comic book fan, but Green Lantern has never made sense to me. His powers seriously seem stuck in the Silver Age era.

I love all the "bu bu bu 7 more months to make it look good" defenders, this is the trailer that WB is showing in front of one of the biggest movie of the year which means that this are the most decent looking scenes they have not to mention that a lot of those 7 months are gonna be spent converting the film to 3d.

Eel:  I guess I meant not in a "thinks it will be a decent popcorn flick" sorta way, but in an OMG Nerdticipation sorta way, like we got with Batman/X-Men/Transformers.  I know, I know, Mana's not representative of anyone, but I have gotten the vibe that a good chunk of the geek community is looking forward to this as a pretty big event.  Then again, I keep forgetting that other people actually like Reynolds, so whateva.



Boogie:  Presumably Chris Nolan's been compared favorably to George Lucas, or had a contract dispute with Disney, or is complicit in the international conspiracy to suppress knowledge of contact with alien life.

Apparently the second movie is just Sinestro Corps: THE MOVIE.

The third is just going to take the Care Bears Movie script and re-film it with Green Lanterns. Sort of how Warner is taking the original Wizard of Oz script and re-filming it for a remake.
