I want to do things to my DVD's...

Like rip them and make copies.  Any ideas like good programs for ripping with?  In the price range of "on the house"?

Roxio is too legit to rip DVDs.  DVDecrypter can't get past most new ones....
WTF

Well, I appreciate your help at least.  The rest of the Bore seems to have bailed on me.

There used to be a sweet app I think called "DVD Shrink," but when I look for it now all there seem to be are for-pay apps with the same name. It was a truly great little app that copied the VOB files into a local directory, and then let you specify whatever burning application you wanted (I paid for Nero).

This may be it, it's the right UI but I've no idea if this site is the best download option (I worry that people release versions that have been tampered with). http://www.mrbass.org/dvdshrink/

I used to use a combo of AnyDVD and DVDecrypter (sometimes DVD Shrink), but I haven't ripped a DVD in a long, long time.
