I got 160 MSbux in an email a while back, so my cost was exactly free-fifty. Anyway, if you don't own it, the deal is good until 10 pm Pacific tonight. Bioshock 2 is on sale for $9.99 today as well, should you choose to punish yourself in such a fashion.

I got AoE3 because I finally had a use for those odd spare 60 points I've had forever. Hopefully like Halo 1 is on there for 50 cents and I can buy that and not bother to find my retail copy.

I don't see why anyone would pass up AoE III Complete for a dime. That's a game + two expansions for an amount you could probably find looking under any random chair in your home.

Probably not, although I'll bet they at least do some $5 specials through the holidays just to not look horrid in comparison with all the other DD sales going on.

It's right up your alley, though, as you don't have to launch any outside service to play the games

Installed it and played it for a bit. Still looks nice once you bump everything up to max. I've come to realize there is only so much improvement you can do to the graphics in a rts or diablo style game where the camera is way zoomed out. Whether it was made now or like 6 or 7 years ago it looks the same to me.

The UI at the bottom of the screen seems huge though.

Where do you find the Age of Empires III CD key? With Bioshock, it just put it in automatically, but it's not doing it this time and I can't find where I'm supposed to get one.

Bought for a dime. I recall scoffing at it when it originally came out after sinking so much time into Age of Mythologies (god knows why). It's pretty rad, tho.

What is this "ran out of keys" thing I've seen crop up lately? It's a code, it's a hash-generated validation string. How can one "run out" of them?

Apparently, for whatever reason, Steam [and other DD services] are allocated a certain number of CD keys by the publisher. When those run out, they have to order more of them.

It's important for most developers/publishers to maintain control of the key generation themselves, otherwise Steam or other digital distribution services could generate "counterfeit" keys themselves and not report the revenue/sales back to the developer. It may seem silly but it works 99% of the time (it only really breaks down when games start being sold for under a quarter)
