Car is totaled out, that is the KBB value of the car in 'good' condition. I think it is fair, it is more than I could have sold it for.
Oh ok, I was wondering that, but I wasn't sure what they were going for these days. I would've figured a little more, but fuck I haven't shopped for a car in 3 years.
Edit: lol fuck that guy. Worked out in the end. I bought my first car for $1500, barely running. I cleaned it up, got it running somewhat decently, drove it like crazy for 3 years, and then as I got to the point where I was ready to buy something nice, I sold it for $1800. I originally wanted more than that, but sold it to a daughter of someone my parents knew so I gave her some money off.

I didn't even have to pay to advertise it or anything. 2 days with a For Sale sign in my parents driveway and it was gone.
My 1st Civic was a different story. :'( Phone calls all hours of the night, never any English, "Someone sell me same car for $2,000 with 30,000 mile. You have 80,000 mile. How much you go down?" fucking go for that deal, byeeeeeee It was worth $5-6,000 at the time.
