It was a failed rebellion in many ways but there were some decent laughs. Green Shinobi RIP.
I'd like to think that were some cases of rare insight on this board but yeah no.

The things we shared most was hate. Hate brings people together but love keeps people together. And that is why this board failed :'(

We're just too hateful and repellent for our own goddamn good.

That aside, I think it's odd that we get so few new members (like, none) when GAF's moderation is more overbearing than ever and posting standards are at an all-time low, which is inarguably what most of our current membership is a reaction to. When we do get a member, they're usually pretty awesome too, like Shah Rukh Khan, who will probably never be heard from again as soon as his ban is up.

GAF as a news aggregate > evilbore as a dick joke aggregate, seems so.

The random talk thread has only been there since April. It doesn't explain the downward trend prior, or the dropoff of overall posts.

I think it's probably because we run off all the drama queens, then the people who chased them away run off themselves when there's no more internet injustice to be dealt with.

And the fact that we get so few new members.

The random talk thread was way before april. we've had one for at least a year. that is the second random talk thread.

throw in the inclusion of random gaming thread for random gaming news that deserves no new thread, and the what are you playing thread, which means less people have a need to make dedicated threads to certain games, and you have your answer.

if eb were a huge forum i'd agree but its not and threads like random gaming are things that only smaller forums can pull off. there are so few posters that you can catch up on the days game news in just a few minutes rather than risk being dropped off the first page and have to search with ebs crappy search. keeping it to one thread is just BETTER.
