Probably 720P that supports 1080i.  All LCDS are non-interlaced by nature.

Dynex 720p 32inch for the bedroom.

Mitsubishi 65 inch 1080p DLP 3Dtv for the living room.

(not my picture obviously)

Only the Wii and a blu ray player is hooked up to the Dynex.  The PS3 and 360 are in the living room on the big tv.

I posted mine a long time ago.  It was a 58 inch Samsung Plasma.

I should have waited a couple more months since display prices plummeted shortly after and I could have gotten a Pioneer Kuro or 3D TV for about the same price or less.

Borys, maybe you can hijack your PC monitor for the PS3? Dunno about your setup, but maybe you have a DVI-capable monitor - the HDMI->DVI adapter should be cheap.

There are even prefabbed cables (like this one) that have one DVI and one HDMI plug. Small wonder, since DVI is basically HDMI 1.0 with a different plug.

For reference, and because I feel bad for laughing:

My TV is a LG 37LH3010. 350€ at a sale.

Spent ages to get into the service menu to enable the (LH4xxx series) USB media player, then never used it. :dur

Decent TV.

PS3 has DRM which blocks DVI-only monitors from displaying the image.

I got my gaming systems, then HDTV.  For quite a while I had the 360 plugged into a 22" Trinitron via s-video.

PS3 has DRM which blocks DVI-only monitors from displaying the image.

That's not the case unless it changed today. The PS3 wont display using a HDMI to DVI cable ONLY IF the monitor doesn't have HDCP support.

Most DVI only monitors have no HDCP and even some with HDMI don't have it.

I prefer S-video with a 1080I CRT when using a Wii or any other SD consoles.

You're not poor if you can afford all the consoles and a moderately sized HDTV.

Also, what's with the girly weights?   :lol

I played HD gaming on a SDTV until about a year ago.  No input lag on CRT, y'all.   :piss post-processing :piss2

Got a 46" 1080p Panasonic G-25 plasma after deciding I wanted to play something other than fighting games without getting a headache.

I think I'm sitting in front of a really old 60'' Sony Wega model.  Unfortuneatly nothing in this household can use it, and there are no hd channels on the cable package my parent uses. I think she bought it because its big and wide. Only thing I stress over is the Wii's output whatevers causes the image to blur somewhat when a lot of action is going on.  Hopefully some component cables can fix that.

In freshman year of college I was stuck with like a 10 inch tv. I played SSX 3, MGS3, SMT3, DDS1, and GTASA on it. One of the best gaming years ever omg.

I have a 32 inch bravia.

When I was younger, I played most of my games on a 13 inch tv with mono sound and no composite input.  The tv used to be in my family's kitchen, and as weird as it sounds, before the N64, I played most of my games in that kitchen.  I still remember playing Mario 64 the day after I got at like 6 am sitting on the cold kitchen floor but elements don't have shit on making a mustache look like sunglasses.  Eventually I was allowed to have a tv in my room so I took that with me.  That tv was awesome.  I had to buy rf adapters for all my systems until the Xbox, which I bought after the Wind Waker came out, which was when I upgraded to a 20 inch crt.  Then I got a cheapo HDTV right before the 360 came out, then finally upgraded to what I have now and sold that old one to an old roommate.

nostalgia :bow2 playing mostly gameboy games :bow2 renting a PS1 because I didn't have a job and couldn't buy my own games and my parents wouldn't buy me or my brother a PS1 so we got PO'ed and Need for Speed and only played Need for Speed because PO'ed was a POS :bow2 playing Epic Mickey in 2010 and being reminded of playing Mario 64 in 1996, only it was tons worse and you couldn't control the camera for shit :piss2

actually, Epic Mickey reminds me of the video games exhibit at the franklin institute museum where I played Bubsy 3D and thought it was the future.  Then I saw a game where you'd stand in front of a green screen and you'd try to block soccer balls by watching a screen in front of you.  Then I saw a homeless guy jerking off with a flashlight.   Spot on, franklin institute.

I wouldn't mind playing on a 13 inch screen if it were an OLED.  The tiny Sony OLED that sells for $3000 has amazing picture quality.

I wish it was easier to make bigger OLED screens.  I'd be willing to downgrade in screen size (40" or so) for that kinda quality.  My 58" Samung is so-so but there's nothing so much better that I need to upgrade.

I've been through a lot of TVs in the last few years.  First my 22" Trinitron which went stong for years.

Then my first HDTV, a POS Phillips that had horrifying black levels.  That was a hard lesson.

Luckily the Phillips broke down after three weeks.  Took it back and swapped it for a Sammy 42" plasma.  Great TV.

Except when it broke down after a year or so.  Took four months to repair so I manned up and bought a Kuro.  Gave the Sammy to mum.  I ordered a 42" Kuro, but Pioneer screwed me around so much with availability they eventually gave me a 50" for the same price. :rock

I don't have anything too big since I game in an office-type set-up.

360 and PS3 on this 23" 1080P ASUS LCD LED-lit monitor.

Wii, PSP, and sometimes the PS3/360 (usually just used when I play Kinect) on a 19" Toshiba LCD HDTV.

PS2, Game Cube, and Dreamcast on this old Samsung SDTV.  It can do 480P but the quality isn't as good as I remember it.  There was some method to unlock 1080i from the service menu, but my brother had this TV for a few years and he lost the remote.

There's also this 25.5" ASUS 1080P monitor in the same room, currently (barely) used by my wife.

Still have an old Samsung GXTV sitting in the bedroom, too.  No idea what to do with it.

Gonna buy a 40"+ HDTV soon I think, but deciding between LCD, LED, Plasma, and DLP is gonna be tough.
