Going to family get together. I REALLY just want to stay home and watch tv. but oh well, thems the breaks. I'm not really getting shitfaced, since I'll be getting retardedly shitfaced tomorrow evening.

For some reason someone gave me a $25 gift card to a local grocery store, so this afternoon I will be using it to buy snacks and beers, and then I'm going to play games all evening. Downloading a bunch of stuff on Steam right now in preparation!

Tomorrow is the traditional New Year's Day dinner of Fried Chicken, Black-Eyed Peas, and Collard Greens, so I expect tomorrow night will be spent in a gaseous state.

Wife will be working and staying with her cousin for the night (her job is an hour away and her cousin lives in that town) because she has to be there early tomorrow. I'm at home with my kid and our friend's kid. My friend just got out of the hospital and her ex-husband is a deadbeat dad that won't take care of his own kid.

So after I put them to bed, I'm going to drink a beer and relax. Although, I would have done that any other night...

Never tried either, but I would always imagine that a single barrel would be the best bet.

Friends (who we always do New Year's with) are throwing a Casino Royale themed party, so the wife and I are dressing up. They got a babysitter for their daughter and let everyone know that this is a kids-free party, so the attendance list is pretty small. It's basically going to be a our circle of friends and no one else. At some point we'll probably put away the casino stuff and break out Catan, Caracassonne, etc.

Everyone plans on getting drunk, but we'll more than likely stay up all night and crash around 5am. Wake up around 10am, make breakfast and do our Secret Santa gift exchange. No one goes home until sometime around 10pm New Year's Day.
