It looks really interesting, but coming from a team who joined the current gen a bit late due to high costs of development, they sure didn't pick a genre and a game concept that would sell well.

At least now I know why they decided to pump it with risqué content.

Well, it sure worked on me. I was going to post this nearly a month ago when I stumbled onto the product page at Amazon.co.jp -- I couldn't believe it hadn't been posted here before, considering how many JRPG fans there are here.

And yesterday I was going through Famitsuu at lunch, and it shows that it's a puzzle game, which I had no idea of during the trailer. It looks crazy weird and beautiful; this will be the first Persona team game I buy.

the Trauma Center series are basically puzzle games that Atlus internally develops, and they are not lacking in any sort of awesome.

So yeah, color me hyped.

The demo for this was a lot better than I expected. Was one of the better demos I've played this gen.

-The graphics are pretty solid! The texture work is really high-res sharp on everything. Looks like pencil cell-shading. P5 should look good!
-The character animation though is still PS2 level. Hope they motion capture for P5.
-A lot of animeeeeee, kind of surprised. Anime costs $$$.
-Music is good, yay
-The gameplay is a solid puzzle game. It's actually kind of hard and you're always on the edge of death so it sort of in a way brings that SMT TOUGH FEELING OF DREAD challenge in puzzle game form
-Seems like you can do a Bioware style GOOD GUY/BAD GUY for a lot of interactions in the game. Probably will be 2 endings for GOOD/BAD.
-Good transition to HD gen finally for Atlus

Can't wait to play this in a month

Finished the demo. I'm sold.

The controls are a little wonky though, Vincent kept ending up in spots on the blocks that I didn't always want him. Oh well. GAME IS HOT.

I had to use the d-pad. With the analog I'd move too far and fall off sometimes.

Yeah, I switched from the analog stick to the d-pad, but I still ran into the same problem. The controls aren't based on your position on the block, which is what led me to going around the blocks instead of climbing up them.

demo was fun, I think. I was skipping cutscenes for most of it. the puzzle bits seemed tense and the game was locked on easy mode. part of that tenseness was because the controls didn't always work how I wanted/expected them to.

DAY ONE. This is so fucking awesome I can't even believe it. I am shocked. Everything about it so fresh and cool, it looks amazing, the music is boss, and the story is cool (with surprisingly easy Japanese if you're learning it!). I cannot wait to get this (with soundtrack CD what what). Ordering on Amazon now.

If you have a PS3, get this demo. So fucking good. Really makes me fiend for a next-gen Persona proper, as well.
