My area of Houston was always a melting pot until you got to the upper middle class, but even there's some minorities in that area. Humble is where I'm from. Atscocita, the neighboring suburb town, has lots of whites but also a fair amount of blacks, hispanics and asians.

Compared to the town of my first college: Wilson, North Carolina.

Pretty good! It's no wonder I'm used to melting pots.
