Looks like shit.

If that's the protagonist in the first screen, he's a shoe-in for the "most uninspired, generic design" award of 2011.

when presented with a chance to make a game based on a property that exists in a number of mediums, formats and artistic styles, dyack and crew pick "the generic videogaming look, circa 2004." and then they proceed to do it badly.

Video is down, but those screens look like ass anyway so I'm not terribly upset about that.

Jeez. That's just sad. It's like they're doing it on purpose.

I'm guessing the only reason why these pictures are posted is because Denis' Hostess snake cake reserve is running low.  He needed to show whoever sucker is paying to publish this piece of shit something.

There'll still be a large contingent of chumps out there that will defend this POS.  Mostly rose glassed nostalgia over Eternal Darkness, a game that nobody would have ever paid attention to if it wasn't for the severe drought going on at the time of its release.

Eternal Darkness wasn't even a good game.

Eternal Darkness is a C/D grade game that was at the right place at the right time: the biggest drought of the GameCube.  A time where even disposable third party multiplatform shit was few and far between.  Reminds me of the PA comic that came out at that time joking about how the GC lid must have been stuck because SSB Melee was in there for such a long time.

Since then Double D put out a remake that managed to be inferior to the original and a huge embarrassment.  Assuming Blood Omen was good, Dyack is 1 in 4 overall.

At long last a superhero game where I can play as some ugly guy in street clothes with electricity powers.

I hope they redesign him for the sequel, only to return to their original design after the backlash.

Pics look nice. Aesthetically the Gambit shot reminds me of Roman sculptures. Most people don't know the Romans painted all their body sculptures because the paint has disappeared over the years. Luckily this fact wasn't lost on Dyack. Impressive work, and I look forward to watching the game's cut scenes

did anybody even like those X-Men/Gauntlet style games Activision used to pump out every year anyways?  This has gotta be more of the same, but honestly, besides Activision shareholders who else wanted this?
