At this point, Born This Way is going to end up being a disappointing album. Before this album she had an identity. She made statements about fame and fortune and had an interesting way of singing it. In The Fame Monster, the album was full of interesting dark (for a pop song) lyrics and visuals and atmosphere to the point where almost every pop star started to ride on the dark wave.

She was unique.

Now with Born This Way I am incapable of distilling her from her peers. I like Judas, but Born This Way (the song) took a while to stomach and even then the lyrics still make me annoyed. Edge of Glory is a boring track that literally does sound like 90's eurobeat.

It is like Lady Gaga is slowly morphing into the entity I've defended time and time again that she isn't.

I'm sure Born This Way lp will be solid, because none of the tracks so far are BAD, but honestly, what a ultimately disappointing and canned album, especially after riding the wave of The Fame Monster.

Seems the same to me to be honest. I didn't get the big deal over Fame Monster either. I forced myself to listen to my wife's copy of the cd because everyone kept praising and I just didn't understand why it was such a big deal. Her releases from Born This Way seem the same to me. *shrug*
