I guess no one wants to believe that a family member would commit suicide, but he seemed pretty convinced when he originally posted the thread and his brother was still in the hospital. Oh well, I don't want to judge anyone since I've never had to be in that position. It's nice that they were able to make something positive out of it.

I've been reading over his posts on that thread. What he said about his brother's neurologist breaks my heart. She works for one of the shittiest hospitals in central Kentucky (for Kentuckybore: Don't ever let your loved ones be treated by Nicole Everman at St. Joseph Hospital) and she sounds like a really poor physician. It kills me because I know so many of the doctors in that area, and so many of them are good people, but for every good doctor, it seems there are two assholes up there.

That's the one that also explains why God hates condoms isn't it? Basically anything very stretchy seriously weirds Him out. He really has it in for balloons and spandex too but the Church hasn't got round to telling the world they're evil yet.

So, cyberpunk's out, but I guess steampunk is okay?

Also, why not just lump Twilight, LOTR, and Harry Potter into one section? Did they really need to explicitly spell them out, especially since they leave out the countless other fantasy books out there. Maybe they were just going for the popular stuff, but no Game of Thrones? Seems like a gross oversight there, one that could have been fixed with a catch-all.

They've got lycanthropy on there, which is a good start, but leaving off furryism is a real problem because it gives those people the idea that they're in the right. Maybe just slap My Little Pony on the list and call it a day.

And why single out Dungeons & Dragons? There are a ton of other pen-and-paper RPGs out there. Plus, they're definitely dropping the ball on LARPing, which is a much bigger problem, in my estimation.

The list is sloppy all the way around, poor form.
