I support the basic idea of food stamps: they stimulate the economy, and provide food for the needy. But it seems to me that they also expose a hole in welfare policy. Men have to work (or try to work) for welfare, unless they're unable to. A woman with multiple kids doesn't have to work if she can't find anyone to take care of the kids while she's gone. A state or federal day care system would help, but there are plenty of states where that wouldn't fly.
It sucks that there are people who exploit the system or have tons of kids knowing they won't be held responsible for raising them. - but that shouldn't be used to paint all welfare recipients as moochers. Most are people who fell on hard times and need help
Oh and I'm sure if a similar fuck up happened in a primary poor white area, there would be pretty of animated/loud white mothers complaining. Fuck that guy
