Because I'm not sure of the laws in Saskatchewan, but I am assuming that due to the fact that these guys are posting this shit to youtube, that it is, in fact, legal to hunt bears in Saskatchewan. And only if that is not the case do I find any reason to object to this video. Because I find the idea that hunters must be all sombre and depressed any time they have a successful kill to be utterly unrealistic and absurd. If you are a hunter, killing an animal is kind of the goal. And to do so against a bear, a dangerous animal in its own right, after practically staring it down from a distance of a couple of feet, is going to produce a crazy adrenaline rush.

So again, unless you simply don't eat meat, acting all outraged about this is silly, because these guys are probably more honest and up front about where their food comes from than you are.

Fuck, dude didn't even use a gun....or a crossbow, but a fuckin' hand-drawn bow that required some real gawdamned skill. So as long as this was done legally, you can fuck right off with that "OMG, how could those stupid rednecks murder such a beautiful animal" shit.

While there is a lot of hypocrisy when it comes to animals and the difference people make between thge treatment of 'beautiful' animals they like and relate to for whatever reasons like dogs, cats,dolphins or bears in this case and livestock that is kept to eat (especially considering the huge numbers of livestock and the horrible circumstances in most cases of those animals) there is still a difference between killing animals to eat them and hunting just for the thrill. I don't see how a 'crazy adrenaline rush' or the weapons used change that in any way. And just because something is legal, it doesn't mean it can't be morally questionable.

I edited my post out as I was attacking you more personally than I should have.

Maybe something is lost on me being a city slicker, but the bear was in an enclosure, and those guys were safe in a harness. If you want to hunt and be a big man, engage the animal in it's natural habitat.
