I got all the apples and the game ended with floating through space. I think if you get a perfect run with no deaths you get the credits and a bonus song. Could be wrong though.

There's always the possibility that these are just trolls getting some use out of old or already broken hardware, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were actually true.
