An unusual figure was spotted among the crowds at this weekend's Comiket: a suited, bearded man wearing a keffiyeh (Arab headdress) surrounded by several bodyguards, all decked out in suits and sunglasses. He quickly drew attention and was nicknamed "the Oil King."

The Oil King milled about the convention center buying comics like the other attendees. He seems to have an interest in Kantai Collection and bought a dōjinshi on hydrogen bombs. He paid vendors with these elaborate envelopes.

The Oil King's true identity, however, remains uncertain.

Yeah, didn't even care to wear the keffiyeh right. A lot of people think you simply put the towel on your head, tighten it with that loop-thingy and *bam* you're Middle Eastern. When in reality there are so many nuances to wearing the head-garb it makes OCD people climax.

I genuinely don't get this, and I'm saying this as someone who's had his ups and downs, and is not particularly on an up right now. I can't imagine enduring this not being a fatal blow to my psyche.
