Not something I remember, but McDonald's is McDonalds's pretty much wherever you go. The ones over there do offer some different items and crazy burgers and are cleaner, with friendlier staff, but that's just how Japan is in comparison to the States. I went back one time because my McRib had mayo and they huddled up and had a meeting to discuss how this went wrong before apologizing profusely for it.

Sure, yeah (sarcasm voice): it's the same to go into a McDonalds and the floors are clean, the people doing their jobs are polite and look like they are enjoying their work, and there's still a "Smile: FREE" on the menu. I don't care much for McD's hamburgers, but I do enjoy the experience of going to McD's in Japan much more than in the USA.

I felt that you were saying it wasn't differences, that the differences are trivial. I'm attempting to state that the experience is qualitatively different, though I'm rifled with enough ennui over McDs in general that I'll take the L if you insist.

True story: I once posted this joke on Facebook, except of it being a generic hotel I made it a Marriott and the customer guy was a mormon. After posting that I got a bunch of messages from my mormon friends asking why I was being so anti-mormon.

Well I was just speaking about the clothes.
Otherwise it is eerily similar to any other McDonald's. The ad does a good job putting a nice light on horrible stuff (those fries buzzers in the flesh).
