i always secretly felt he was the good brother and the more important one
Noel kicking him out of the band temporarily (one of the times) so he got plastered and heckled him from the crowd for the whole show is my kind of rock and roll hero.
That interview with the part about Chris Martin.

You performed "Live Forever" with Chris Martin who you once called a "plantpot." You also said he looked like a geography teacher.
And I meant every fuckin' word of it. When I met him [at Manchester], I said, "Look I'm sorry about that stuff that I fuckin' said in the past, I was only fuckin' about, I'll chill out now." And they went, "No, we love it, carry on." So I was like, "OK, I'll get the gig done first then I'll start slagging the cunt off." Listen, we were there to do what we do, man: put some smiles on people's faces. I certainly didn't want a pat on the back for it. Me mam's still there, me family's still there and I am Mancunian through and through. I'd have come back from the fuckin' moon to be there.
It meant a lot to people that you showed.
Fuckin' hell. I don't even know how to take that. When I walk down the road people go, Nice one! And I go, "Stop it, stop that." What am I meant to say? You're welcome? I am glad I fuckin' did it. I'm proud of Manchester and it's a shit fuckin' thing that's happening at concerts. Young kids getting fuckin' killed and butchered, man.
I've always liked Liam for not immediately slagging on and disowning
Be Here Now and liking it for what it is because I quite like it even if it is full of absurd excess, and he sorta has the same view of like "we did some good shit on that, and also we were out of control with no oversight as the biggest band ever and shit so almost all those songs need to be sliced in half."
What about "I ain't good lookin' but I'm someone's child…" [from "D'You Know What I Mean"]?
Well, I don't know about that. You can tell he wrote that one, can't ya? Even when I sing it I'm going, "Not too sure about that one…"
Though I saw a thing where Noel was for some site going through and commenting on their old videos and even he's making fun of the lyrics like that along with pretty much all their videos. "Sounds important doesn't it?" or something like that. After they finished the BHN songs he was like "ya know, maybe there
was some good on that. I haven't listened in forever."
The perfect Oasis reunion is probably one where they play
Be Here Now in its entirety but Liam gets plastered and leaves after "Don't Go Away" to heckle them as they try to finish the last three songs on the album. (which combine to be 24 minutes long
