The state of my recs after watching one PewDiePie video.
A starving cat stranded on the edge of an 98ft-high bridge has prompted a major rescue mission to bring it home after two weeks missing.Hatty, a five-year-old Maine Coon-Serengeti, has wasted away to 'skin and bones' after trapping herself on the Royal Albert overpass in Saltash, Cornwall. Five days ago, the feline began wailing from the ledge which caused worried onlookers to try to fling food up to her with a catapult....A spokesman for Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said on Wednesday their attempts to lure Hatty with Dreamies from a ladder top had not been successful.'We've tried enticing it for an hour with treats and it's not been successful. 'The next step is to lower somebody from the parapet with a safety strop to try and reach around and get the cat down.'Unfortunately the cat is going as far away from the rescuer as it can.'But we can't put anybody else like its owner up there - it has to be us that performs a rescue.' On Wednesday Hatty's owner Kirsty Howden, said: 'The first time they went up they took Dreamies and left them scattered, she stuck her head out and scoffed them once the firefighters had gone back down.'They then tried again with a tin of sardines and a tin of mackerel and the same thing happened.'Now they've gone up with some industrial strength catnip, they're planning to get her chilled enough to approach her so she can relax and come down.'She's a cat that has stranger danger unfortunately, she's one of those if you saw her on the wall she would walk away, it's looking worrying at the moment.'Network Rail has confirmed that they will close the track tomorrow morning for an hour at some point, if we are unsuccessful today, and try and attempt a rescue from the actual track.'
Thousands of people have been gripped by the story of Hatty the cat, who was believed to have been trapped on the Royal Albert Bridge for the last six days. There was a five-hour failed rescue mission from firefighters, countless visits from RSPCA inspectors, and also arrangements in place for the train lines to be closed. But it seems that the five-year-old feline didn't need rescuing at all.Plymouth's newest celebrity cat wondered in to her home in Saltash at around 11pm this evening, like nothing had happened....Plymouth Live launched a blog on the rescue, in which tens of thousands of people have eagerly followed, sending supportive messages to Kirsty, and thanks to everyone involved in the rescue mission. On Wednesday morning, fire crews, Network Rail and RSPCA inspectors worked together to try and attempt to get Hatty off of the bridge....Plymouth Live provided live updates from 10pm on Tuesday until Hatty returned home.Videographer, Erin Black, streamed live from the scene for over three hours with more than 900 people all watching at the same time, many admitting they had taken the video with them in the bath and to the toilet.READ MORERescue mission for cat stuck up Brunel Bridge enters sixth day - live updatesThere were plans for the RSPCA, firefighters and Network Rail to meet at 11.30pm on Wednesday evening to attempt a second rescue....Dreamies and fish were used in a bid to coax the cat out, but nothing was successful - she had even caught and killed a seagull.
