I was kinda getting that vibe when watching it. But at the same time I was like who really cares. It's just peaceful and that's all I care about. Though I was cracking some inappropriate jokes about how their life came to be and whatnot. Semi-tasteless. But yeah more than anything I was down for the tranquility.

edit: After a little bit of digging, she isn't a Chinese government creation. What she is though, is that the government very much approves of her and that is why she is able to be on Youtube as that is something the government wants the public to see when it comes to China. So is the channel a fraud? No. Is it malicious? Also no. But the big youtube push it got (or gets?) is something that the Chinese government is happy with.

I get what you are saying but I feel like this goes a step beyond just tourism and implicity advocates for a certain traditional lifestyle. And yes western ads do that exactly too, just this feels very alien compared to westren ads.
