The 3/5s Clause made abolishing slavery more unlikely lmao: it gave southern states more representation and led to them dominating elections. Ironically, the best thing to do would have been to officially proclaim slaves as chattel, not human, and thus not counted. That would have ensured the Northern states would have more control over congress and the presidency. But of course that was not going to happen.
The south got more representation, the north payed less taxes. It had nothing to do with setting the stages for abolishing slavery.
