In Canada it is illegal to post the results of the elections on the east coast before the west coast has finished voting as the results may cause undue influence on voters. Or something.

I'm indifferent on the JayDubya ban. I think that it is ridiculous that he is banned while idiots like fortified_concept run amok but on the other hand, his arguments were very abrasive. Oh come on, you're an accountant. I think you should know full well by now that a lot of people are total shit with their finances. Most people just simply don't understand things like money, credit ratings, interest rates, etc. Most people just have an "I want it now!" impulse switch, whether it comes to buying expensive shit on high interest credit cards, getting a house that is 6x their salary, or marrying someone without full disclosure of serious financial mistakes.

I think divorce is a little ridiculous. Asking GAF anything about relationships is wasting time. Half of the people are lonely virgins who curse online that they rue the day they were born with a penis, often white knighting losers like Devolution. The other half are wannabe pimps and ballers, talking about all the pussy they never get, which is why they went nuts over Koshiba's fake tits and thought Himuro had a meltdown. Asking for relationship advice on GAF is like asking Stormfront to make nuanced arguments regarding Jews: it just isn't going to happen. It's throwing red meat to the virgin-wolves who want to direct their seething beta male outrage towards a target, especially a man who is dating (and presumably having sex with) a woman.

That is why I haven't so much as visited GAF (unless it was linked here) in the past three weeks. The ratio of bullshit to quality has surged to intolerable levels. Especially when there are people on the "right" side who violate almost every TOS rule because they feel their outrage is justified. Like PD said a while back, everyone who doesn't share their extreme view is treated as a troll. While I think moderation has improved, there needs to be a mass culling on a lot of the bottom of the barrel quality posters who shrieks at everything that doesn't fit their rigid viewpoints.
