Joke characters are great if they're done well.

I'd say about 60% of my posts are serious, but for the other 40% (and these are almost always in separate threads) I go into full joke-character mode. And only a few people can tell. I get amazing responses.

On the other hand, poorly-done joke characters should just be mass-banned, as they make the forum far more annoying.

You're not a very good joke character, not as bad as Green Shinobi or Puddles, but not very good either.
