true, but for me personally, I'll be a "fuck full touch controls at any price" guy till death, or until some kind of futuristic tactile surface is invented.   

But yeah, it'll continue to get shown up by cheaper + stronger hardware throughout it's short, pathetic life.  Unless Sony is aggressive with software and price drops...

I understand what they were trying to do with W8. They are trying to give you something stylistically different, yet still retain the core of what Windows is/was. I don't have a problem with it, but I'm not going to beat down the doors to get it installed.

Whenever I upgrade my PC, I will upgrade the OS. Most people will probably do the same.

I must admit that I wasn't even up on this bit of your fandom. I know you don't like Microsoft on the console front, but you don't like Windows? Don't you also hate Apple? Do you just do all of your computing on Android devices?

I loved Windows in the past, was an avid user of Windows Live services, and even defended Vista a fair bit. But Win 8 just doesn't sit well with me.

I have many friends who work at Microsoft and know that it has many very talented usability researchers and UI designers on staff.

I have nothing against Microsoft. I happen to think that Windows 7 is a good product and that Windows 8 is a misguided one. I derived these conclusions from first principles of human–computer interaction theory and from watching users in our new research. One doesn't have to hate or love a company in order to analyze its UI designs.

I loved the Ribbon too, and I've never been critical of Kinect aside from its game library.

No he wasn't, he even said that the worst his work could do was to force him to go to rehab if they found out about his drugs use. There's no reason that he couldn't have taken time off work to go to rehab, he stated that himself which makes the fact that he was at 'rehab' for less than 2 days all the more laughable.

I'm going with my ma and her bf to a restaurant. I can't think of anything sadder than a Thanksgiving or Christmas where you're completely alone. There are dudes going to buffets by themselves which is sad as fuck. I've done that before and I feel like a loser but on Thanksgiving?
