Just as a gut check -- as I've been fooled by people trolling as fake fans before -- are some of these people serious when presenting that as evidence of the Wii U's power?

I haven't read much recently, but people used to say that games would look magnitudes better than the tech demo.  Rationale being that tech demos for past Zelda games look worse than the final products.

Basically, Killzone 2 looks better than the Killzone 2 CG video and if you disagree I'll bombard you with 14 meg gifs of walls crumbling.

Honestly, that was probably the smartest thing the Metro Wii developers could have done - get a hardcore crowd rowdy, get cheap heel heat for your game and free publicity. I've never even heard of Metro before seeing the NeoGAF thread on it. (Ukranian FPS apparently? Yeah I'm sure the WiiU crowd will be missing out )

What do you want from the Yoshi Wii U game?

here's why the Wii U is a fucking disaster :

As a screaming nthing, i would like

- current gen graphics at best
- lots of MiiVerse integration so i can talk about how 5/10 it is
- big use of the pad so i have to look at it all the fucking time
- off tv pad functionality so i can take a shit whilst playing thus meaning any meaningful use of the pad has to be diluted
- it to be really good yo

sold up the fucking river but celebrating rushing towards the waterfall. Fucking mongs.

Also - addressing all Concern troll Nthings - you know when you mention the horrific jump in cost to make next gen games? You could target Wii U levels on next gen and be NO WORSE OFF than you would be on Wii U :O FUCKING GASP!!!!!

p.s. quoting the biggest maker of 3rd party tools like Epic saying "BUT THE COSTS WILL BE HUGGGEEEEE IF YOU DEV FROM SCRATCH" is not proof that the end is nigh. Hundreds of devs went under THIS gen - the Wii U DOES NOT solve any of these issues, infact - Wii heavy 3rd parties have a similar jump in costs so they run the same damned risks.
