Cottage Cheese vs Nostalgia
« on: August 09, 2006, 07:16:22 PM »
I honestly remember liking this stuff as a kid, now as I eat it...its just wrong. And the more I think about how wrong it tastes and feels the more I dont want to eat it.

Same thing happened with spaghettios tho, that stuff is rancid and burns my mouth.

I can only take about two spoonfuls of straight cottage cheese before I have to stop. But if it's in lasagna or some other pasta I really like it.

I agree with this man. It's just a bunch of mutant corn bread with meat thrown in. To make matters worse, once you put it on your plate its temperature decreases 10 degrees a minute. So even if it's fresh out the oven, it 4 minutes it tastes like cold shit.

That salmon/cream cheese paste is fucking amazing.  How can you guys not eat something just because it's a little bitter?

SURELY YOU JEST!

Hamburger Helper kept my stomach full and my soul from losing hope on some cold, loney nights.

I'm even making it with vegetarian meat now and it's still pretty good!

I loved it as a kid too, but went years without eating it.  In my sophomore year of college I went to Wawa drunk and decided to try it again.  I ended up vomiting it all up about an hour later into my sink.  It clogged the sink, so I tried to run the vomit/cottage cheese mix down with hot water.  It didn't work.  So I spent about 25 minutes filling up cups of my vomit from the sink and dumping them into the toilet.  Terrible night.

I like it again now.

Cottage cheese is disgusting and tastes like chunky vomit.  I eat about a litre of it a day.
