Game is excellent so far.

New translation is great, story is great as always and the new translation enhances it, the new features and changes bring new life to the game, and it's just a blast.

My only problem so far is the shop system. It is horrible. It doesn't tell the player any useful information. No comparisons to current equipment, or even if you already own the equipment yet. It's just plain cumbersome and when you consider all the changes they made to fine tune this game, it's amazing they somehow managed to overlook this. I spent a good 5-10 minutes shopping, which is far too long to be spent trying to buy imaginary trinkets and armor.

bah i still think you guys are exagerating but SRPG aren't really my forte,and 12 character parties sounds like a pain in the ass to manage,if anything i'm happy every battle so far was under 8 character

you know i can really appreciate the fact that you level up the "job" instead of the "character" if there is one thing that i hate on job system is when you divide the jobs for the sake of variety and then one jobs turn more awesome than the other and then you have one awesome character and a really shitty team

and why the fuck you need all those attack spell? there is a fireball,a thunderball,a waterball,a iceball,a darkball and a saintball and yet they are all the same thing

my cleric,wizard and archer keep dying,it wouldn't be so bad if the game wasn't all like "OH NO I'M GOING TO TAKE THEM AWAY FOREVER IN 3 TURNSSSSSS"

EDIT: okay so there is this mission and i tought "let's take it slowly,kill everybody and then go after the boss" and after killing 4 enemies out of 6,extra reinforcement came wasting several minutes of battle

and that's why SRPG sucks

Yeah, I think I'm gonna wait a tad to play this... Vagrant Story has me burnt out on Matsuno for a bit. Though that game definitely needs the TO PSP treatment - faster and more user-friendly with nicer graphics.

Which battle is this? The battle with the necromancer? You can't decimate every troop on that map unless you have some way to cast excorcism to kill the undead troops once their bones/ghosts have been shattered.

To win that fight, support Canopus as he goes around the map, sniping archers and mages until he has over 100 TP so he can take off over 100+ hp from the boss so the rest of your guys can go in and go for the kill. Create a diversion while doing so.
