Wait, what?!

So, after resolving my musing in the Random talk thread from the weekend, I found a townhouse I liked for the price.

Decided to put in an offer, was told there were three other people also going to put in an offer on it today. So I shrug my shoulders and say okay, I like the place, but I'm not going to get into a bidding war over it.

I make my offer at 7pm, head off to jiu-jitsu. 10:45 pm, my agent calls me. "Boogie.....you won."

"Holy shit."

I beat the next offer by just 1k, so I had unknowingly played the game just right.

But I was not remotely expecting my offer to win, so I'm just in shock right now.

Damn, just one more step in having to act all grown-up and adult 'n shit now.

Sooo, update. I've been moved in for a month, and have decided I should finally pimp the place a bit.

Layout is:

First floor: basically just a landing. boiler room, access to garage.

Second floor: open concept living room/kitchen. Plus bathroom, and access to my balcony/deck.

Third floor: master bedroom, spare room, and full bathroom.

Everything's still a bit rough, haven't put up any paintings and the like, but here are a few shots.

$2000 mattress and bed, but my lazy ass hasn't been bothered to buy proper sheets for it yet:

In my first six months on the job, there was one night when we were....conducting an investigation, and saw some teens clearly wander into the nearby playground and start smoking up.

Would have wandered over there and give them a stern talking to, but what we were working on was slightly more important, so they got a pass that evening.

Personally, I'd paint the walls red and put in a gray carpet but i'm a cigarillo.
