It's the second part of contest winner GhaleonQ's show agenda!

(5:00) "How would you like to see awards ("official" or informal) awarded? Academies? Literature-style (that is, "Since we couldn't read everything, here are a handful that we liked")? Popular vote? Overwrought, endless, category-by-category podcast form?"

(28:11) "Which will make the industry better: game archivists who properly research, investigate, and curate the past (I'd include Hardcore Gaming 101 as casual archivists) or alternative games writers?"

(51:00) "Since this is when the new generation would start if it were a normal cycle, take a game released around launch (you can choose PC games) in the DS generation and design it/a sequel for a hypothetical 2011 system launch."

(This spins off wildly into a discussion about the Nintendo 3DS and the Sony NGP)

Thanks again to GhaleonQ, and we'll talk to you all again soon!

We folks who claim bite sized gaming makes sense for a portable platform have a selfish desire for most games to be played on a console.  Something like Fruit Ninja serves its purpose outside of the home on a cellphone, but something like Resident Evil Revelations seems like it would be more practically suited to a living room experience.  And no, sitting on the couch with the device plugged in is not a preferred substitute. It really comes down to the genre and how its paced.
