Use Trueachievements.com instead - superior site. I only use x360a for the roadmaps now.
What is better about it, specifically? I'd have trouble walking away from my existing playlists, but x360a's Forums are poorly populated and difficult to navigate.
I'm not even sure where to begin, but almost everything is better about TA.
- The layout is better
- It's a LOT more personalized
- It's much easier to organize multiplayer/co-op/boosting sessions
- You can set personal goals that the site will keep track of (ie. beat the gamerscore of Stallion83, complete 200 games by 2012, etc),
- Achievements have their own individual guides and solutions that anyone can post and vote on
- It tracks your achievements automatically (all of the achievements you have a green label; ones you're missing have a red label), making it easier to see what you have left to complete
- You have a "trophy case" that highlights all of your hardest and favorite achievements
- There are lots of public leaderboards you can join (or create), and they are displayed right on your page
- It separates DLC achievements from the main game. That basically means you can complete game without having DLC that you don't own drag your completion percentage down
- The main gimmick of the site, "true achievements," is pretty cool too. What they do is take the number of players who own the game, and give each achievement a multiplier based on who's earned it and who hasn't. So games that are REALLY hard will have a high "true achievement" value, while the easy games will have a low value. So for example, Dead or Alive 4 is worth 4,344 right now, while Call of Duty 4 is only worth 1,319 points. It's not perfect (arcade games get the shaft), but it's a pretty decent way to gauge how difficult a game really is.
That's just off the top of my head. x360a still has its advantages, but it's pretty ghetto in comparison.
