Might show up on Steam, wait till Tuesday.

Also, there's a new Drakensang game on Steam for $20. I don't really know much about it, but it's a janky Euro-RPG so it's probably worth getting for $20.

I've wanted to play Grey Matter.  I thought it would be a steam.  Is it a retail release then or one of those games that appears on a different digital distributer, kinda like White Gold and Precursors.

It's a shame that Jane Jensen is stuck making budget games while that fat hack at Naughty Dog gets to work with an unlimited bankroll.

Come off it, bro.  Uncharted 2's story was on par, if not better than National Treasure.  All those ass comments made me half mast in a way I haven't been since Sonic and Kaoru-chan ran (no pun intended lol) into my heart.

Screw that Oscar nominated director for screwing with the Uncharted movie.  He's not worthy enough to pickle Naughy Dog's dick.

That's good to hear. I enjoyed the first one and the premise of this latest one sounded interesting, plus that $20 price point is nice too. I think I'll go ahead and buy it now, download it tonight, and play it sometime tomorrow.

I guess we'll just use this as the official PC exclusives thread and update the title each week.

Edit: Gemini Rue looks really cool, like an adventure game from the early 90's.

This came out last week, by the way:

It's just the sort of part-based, turn-based RPG'ing that PC-Bore needs to be playing now that Bioware spit the bit and went gay for consoles. It's also one of the most polished Euro RPGs you can find. It and it's predecessor are $20 each on Steam.

I would buy it to support janky euro-devs since it's only $20 and that's a totally fair price, but like with most story-related sequels, I feel like I need to play the original first :(

That bus game looks awesome though.  Looks way better than the bus simulators on dreamcast

Grey Matter actually comes out this week.

I know Duke Nukem got all the press about unlikely paths to the finish line for this year, but Grey Matter finally existing as a releasable product, after being shut down, switching developers (twice), and all told at least seven years of dev time, it deserves some attention.

it is awesome! just been driving around randomly a while now checking it out. the weight and feel is crazy good. couldn't get the manual gearing working for some reason, so was only using automatic transmission. so much nice detail and functionality to the bus, it really is the dcs black shark of bus simulators :lol. will try some route/schedule things later. the traffic is actually really well done also, the cars are very aware. sitting on the horn on some guy in a golf will make him shit himself. hehe. I hope they do more cities and locations. it's only two maps now, only tested one but it's not super big. will buy the shit out of extra stuff they release for this.

oh my, disaster at the end of the world http://www.abload.de/img/image2xu9y.jpg

This came out last week, by the way

international version came out 11th january more like

One thing that's immediately apparent is, no Monkey Island? Or any Kings Quest? Cave Story should at least have gotten a mention. And no Witcher (aka the best western RPG since the late 90's)?

No Sam & Max, Full Throttle, or The Dig.  :yuck

No Wizardry games.  ???

No love for Alone in the Dark.  >:(

Mirror's Edge is absent.   :maf

None of the Need for Speed games.  :S

Darkspore doesn't sound that great but could be good enough to tide PCfags over till Diablo.

Maxis has really crashed since they released SimCity 4 in 2003. Although they've never been the same since the EA acquisition and the company being turned into an assembly line for The Sims expansions. Probably doesn't help that Will Wright bailed a few years ago, although Spore was his baby and supposed to be a return to form [but we all know how that turned out], so maybe him still being there wouldn't really fix anything anyway.

They'll probably churn out a few installments in The Sims series, but Maxis is pretty much done.

Financially, wasn't Spore a huge success?

Yes, but I meant "done" more in terms of "any creativity they have left has evaporated and they're pretty much running on the fumes of their past successes". Spore's outcome, and Darkspore's apparent trash-like nature, cement that.

space siege is ok. really really dumb. but ok. the main thing is to not think of it as an action rpg, at all. it's worth playing through for the terrible story. and the whole thing is only 4-5 hrs long. I knew what the ending would be before I got there and I still got annoyed by how shitty it was. well both of the endings really. hehe. they depend on how many robot parts your guy's got, so you have to do a strategic save before the decision to pick up the last robot part or not. good ending is no robot part, bad ending is any robot parts at all.

have to say I am loving the shit out of this bus simulator. really really well done. excellent feel to the driving. it crashes a bit easily though. still got a couple of hours of practice in driving passengers around now though. not sure I completely drove the route correct, even on the super basic training level. haha. germans passengers start muttering gibberish if you drive too fast. probably if you crash and do other distinguished mentally-challenged stuff as well. but I've only been crashing and running over pedestrians without passengers so far. tehe

only need more maps now. expand me this germans.
