I tried Darkspore for like 30 minutes yesterday. It seemed like an interesting enough concept although I was bored while playing it and stopped. In reality the major problem is I like my loot games based around stuff like superheroes or that medieval lotr stuff Diablo has been pioneering forever. The style of Darkspore wasn't especially interesting to me. I maybe would have been more interested if it went in a evolution style approach loot game like the original Spore was supposed to be but wasn't.

Tried Spiral Knights. It's kinda fun, but like a pared down Torchlight that you have to keep putting money into. Fun enough for a few days, but easily forgotten.

You mean Gamestop Impulse.

Quote
Indie developer Blind Mind Studios has decided to remove the option to purchase their game Star Ruler from Impulse after GameStop officially takes over the digital distribution service from Stardock. As their website states:  "We are ending sales through Impulse due to GameStop's long, negative behavior toward the PC platform and independent games. We would never have signed onto distribution through GameStop, and being forced into this situation has only made it worse for us. We feel GameStop cannot serve as the leader of a true competitor in the digital distribution market."

Games these days have seriously too much micro-managing.

"How do we improve on match 3 puzzle game?"
"How about making them do the match 3 puzzle game AND play another game AT THE SAME TIME"
"omgggg, we are bringing it to the next level"

OMG, :bow Realms of the Haunting :bow2 is on GOG. Buying this game right now, you guys should too. It's right up there with Gabriel Knight 2: The Beast Within in the pantheon of awesomely cheesy FMV horror adventures. Not that there's really much competition in the awesomely cheesy FMV horror adventure pantheon, but it's better than Phantasmagoria 1 & 2 and Shivers.

I wanna check it out, but I'll wait for a decent sale before jumping. Price is to steep right now for what looks like a budget actioner, even if it has drop in co-op and skill trees.

You can get Witcher 2 or AssCreedBro for the same price.
