I tried the demo and yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, I forgot how janky RGG is.
The camera is pretty iffy and moreover the R2 free aim is like "did they even play their own game once?". I tried the shooting gallery and umm, how is it even possible to get an A rank? If you tap the analogue in a direction the aim moves like 5 feet in that direction. Trying to move from one target to another to get headshots is basically impossible thanks to the ridiculous sensitivity of the analogue aiming. Thankfully it seems you really don't have to aim in the actual game, but you still have to deal with pointing the camera actual at the enemies in front of you. Also there seems to be some issues where you kick someone with O when you want to pick up an object with O. I'm sure it'll be playable, and shooting zombies is fun, but yeah, it controls about as well as I expected a gun shooting game by J-devs to control :\
And I'd forgotten how the graphics are really really freaking bad in Kenzan/RGG3/4. I hate how this engine has this gross low-res look to everything in the environment that's more than 10 feet away. Cutscenes look nice as always though.
Will probably play it someday, but this demo reminded me of how janky the series is; probably because they keep making the games in 1 year.
