This morning I tried to boot up my pc. It was in hibernation so I moved my mouse around to get it to come up. When I did this all I heard was a ticking sound from my case and my mobo power light was flashing (in sync with the clicking). I unplugged everything and after troubleshooting found it only did the ticking when the psu was plugged to the mobo. Bad mobo I assumed but then I went and grabbed an older pc I got with basically just a mobo and plugged my psu into that older mobo and turned the power on. Doing this resulted in the same ticking sound. This has to mean my psu went bad, correct?
Some backstory: I used to put my pc into sleep and recently it stopped coming out of sleep. It would attempt to but just sit there with the fans spinning. I assumed it was a ram issue so I started using hibernate as tthat uses the hdds instead. Now I am thinking its all related.
Does it sound like a psu issue to you as well?
