WoW players - How is Cataclysm?

Thinking of diving back in when I finish my ps3 backlog. Rift looks interesting but I don't want to risk supporting a fabled "WoW killer" that will have 10 players across a few servers two months after release.

With Cataclysm I don't see why there's any reason to support any other mmo at this time.

HOw's the new content? Does it enhance old content?

Cataclysm is boring and not much fun. If you were hoping to notice any big changes from WoW, well besides the 1-60 content its almost exactly the same, and you get that content for free. It just smells of a "lets quickly put this together" expac.

Some of the old content has been changed. Probably a good idea to start out as a Worgen or Goblin and experience the new early zones, then move to the updated ones. They haven't done anything to change the BC era stuff though, so once you hit lv70 be prepared to go through that again; personally I really liked BC and even had fun doing the content again on my second character.

If you like WoW you'll probably like Cata; the lv80+ new zones are great, the dungeons are fun, etc. What aspect of WoW do you like the most?

Personally I've begun to lose interest in the game though, although I'm wondering if it's due to me not yet fully diving into end game content yet. I really just get on to talk to folks I've played with for years. Maybe I'll be rejuvenated in the next few days and jump back in.

I love the world, the factions, the quests, some of the story, the adventure. I never really raided. I got to level 30 and then had to do something else and my account has been MIA ever since.

I haven't even bought Lich King yet.

So I have lots of content I could go through.

unless you really want to play as one of the new races (supposed to be awesome), why not just re-roll and go through the revamped 1-60? Can always grab lich king when/if you get there.
