Going by the video title I though I was gonna see HIM doing a pink floyd cover.

They made it "theirs".  Way better than the original.

They did make it their own

the way they totally managed to play out of sync with each other and the basslines who are ever so out of loop, always too early or too late

I also love the several parts in the video where the ahum... singer looks extremely disgusted at how cringeworthy the rest of the band is, as if he's not part of the problem

Well, at least the front man looks the part, kinda like an older Kurt Cobain.  Despite the technical foibles, this version definitely captures the essence of the song.

ehh come on guys, this video must get more coverage than this. 
It's on the same tier of comedy as Eli Porter. You keep discovering things the more you watch.
