Agreed.  MS is a completely boring company now with little foresight beyond Kinect.  All that platform is getting is shovelware.  The Star Wars game which is supposed to bring the "hardcore" in will be shit as well.  It will definitely be over hyped though, I guarantee it!

Not to sound like a Nintard but Microsoft is just doing whatever they can to make up as much money as possible on their investment.  They're playing it as safe as possible and as cheap as possible.  It is perfectly understandable that they've essentially given up on the first party front because even if Kinect falls apart later in the year, they can keep the 360 going for a while.  The 360 is _the_ multiplatform console of choice and new sales of COD, Madden, and NCAA Football will keep it going until the new system is out.  Obviously Microsoft knows this or it wouldn't be such a virtual desert.

There's basically no danger of any major title becoming exclusive to another platform so there's little need to use first party to make up for it. So they're using their first party resources on another market. Makes business sense but it sucks for us :'(

When you say "these days" it implies that it hasn't always being a piece of crap.

It's great to see the xbox fans realize something I've been saying for like two years.

nothing wrong with that. xbox 360 gets a lot of the multiplatform games, and often better version too.

but if you want a system with sequals of good games and games that are trying new things, I'd definitely say get a ps3.

but an xbox 360 does the job just fine.

Then you can reminisce in the glory of the early years by catching up with its backlog. Just be ready for the sudden dropoff once you've caught up to the present.

Do you have access to XBLA (the best platform this generation)? If not, there are still multiplatform games to look forward to, like Catherine or El Shaddai. The only worthwhile exclusives on 360 any more are either on XBLA or are niche Japanese games.

There are a lot of great games to catch up on and most of them are dirt cheap.  Now is probably as good as time as any to catch up on them.

The backlog is horrible. Sell it and buy a Kindle.

magus has a pir8 box with no online access, so he's missing out on all the great shit on XBLA, which is like the reason to own an xbox today

Don't worry magus, xbawks has plenty of life in it.In fact it will outlive everything...RROD would kill any platform known to human, but it didn't even scratch 360

Plenty of new stuff is coming, but you will need Kinect for the most of the quirky stuff though.Don't listen to the fud about PS3 exclusives, bunch of overhyped sequels that nobody buys or cares about...everybody forgets about them week after release, same story every year :lol

Tons of high quality multiplatform stuff is coming,99.99% of them will be noticeably better on 360.

Don't listen to bitter, burned out hd console gamers. You are new,fresh...tons of stuff to play
