Persona 3 portable was the most boring rpg I ever played. Put like a 100 hours into it. I blame GAF for hyping it up.

Persona 4 portable would be an automatic pass.

It was one of two games I bought when I first got my psp go. Really only play portable games at work, where it's a slightly less boring diversion than just listening to sports radio. Otherwise I would have stopped playing it ages ago.

persona 3 ps2 has full 3D enviroment while the psp version has a 2D map where you just pick your destination,it looks cheaper but it's also easier to navigate... other than that the only difference is that in the portable version you can also play as a female MC and there is also some persona 4 cameo just for shit and giggles

Persona 4 > Persona 3

Most of the things I hated about P3 were nailed in P4. The only reason people like P3 more is because it's got OH I'M COOL, I SHOOT MYSELF IN THE HEAD WITH A GUN.

I generally hate JRPGs, but found Persona 3 Portable pretty enjoyable. I still haven't finished it though...kind of fizzled out for me after a while.

But I would like to get a portable version of Persona 4 to try. Would prefer it on a handheld over PS2.

The only reason I am sort of maybe interested is that Meguro is doing the soundtrack. If that just means they use the game ost then I'll pass, but if it's remixes/arranges or new songs then I'll watch for the music.

The central plot of P4 is pretty poorly done because it's so obvious who the murderer is and who's going to get abducted. There are one or two decent twists in there, but overall it's really predictable. Thankfully everything surrounding the lackluster central plot is good enough to make up for it and make it the best JRPG ever

Actually that kinda reminds me of Mass Effect 2. Except ME2's main plot is even worse and it's missing the middle portion of the game. But everything else is pretty awesome.
