I'll never understand indie developers' love for shoehorning things like stories and VAs into their lite and humble projects.
Why can't they settle for "The princess is another castle" plot device* until they start working on bigger projects, that actually requires some of those those elements, and have the right amount of resources to pull it off?
I just don't see how it adds any value. Just give me the damn game, and stop pimping scripts you've written back when you were 17.
There's a reason why people keep accusing them of pretentiousness, and cheaply building up their games into things they're not.
